3rd Serbian workshop in Novi Sad; Opportunities for implementing sports, recreational, tourism and cultural activities on the banks of the river Tisza, as part of the kayak-canoe pilot programme

Summary: The workshop aimed at providing prospects of the implementation of various sports and recreational contents in identified locations along the river Tisza. Professor Borislav Obradović opened the workshop, the Vice-Dean for Academic Affairs, who welcomed all the participants. Professor Dr Cvetković, PhD students Valdemar Štajer and Marko Gušić and bachelor student Bojan Rasković from the Faculty of Sports and Physical Education of the University of Novi Sad held detailed presentations on all the activities that were on the agenda during the five-day water tour. These activities included sightseeing at tourist attractions, as well as numerous team building sports activities, such as beach golf, yoga, aerobics, pilates, gymnastics and jogging. All these types of sports and recreational activities, together with the methods of their implementation, serve the purpose of bringing closer the tourism and cultural contents of each local community in which tour water participants will be staying. A joint research plan was developed at an informal gathering after the workshop, and the contents of the programmes that will be implemented day by day were further discussed.
